Our Facility – The NEW Earmould Laboratory
Our earmould laboratory is now based in Kingfisher Court, on Hambridge Road in Newbury. This new property contains an extensive refurbished laboratory four times larger than our previous premises, with dedicated work stations focussed on each stage of earmould production, ensuring even greater quality and efficiency and our fastest customer turnaround. We also have a new administrative office and separate quality control area and storage facilities.
Every impression progresses through the laboratory, guided by our unique barcoded route cards. Each route card contains specific information of the type of earmould required and is scanned with a handheld barcode reader at each relevant manufacturing station.
We regularly conduct PAT testing on all lab and office equipment and ensure it is all fully maintained and calibrated according to the manufacturers specifications.
As part of the ISO 9001 certification, materials and equipment are regularly and randomly audited to ensure compliance. Sonic is in the process of obtaining OHSAS 18001:2007 Health and Safety certification.
We have a comprehensive selection of over 60 different combinations of materials in stock in the laboratory. We regularly check expiration dates, rotate stock and maintain availability to ensure we always have the materials to provide our customers with the exact earmould they need.
